How Supporting neighborhood bridges and Pelotonia Enhances Community Well-Being: A Commitment from Status Solutions

How Status Solutions Partners with Neighborhood Bridges to Help Children in Need and Supports Pelotonia's Cancer Research

“One of the most fundamental needs for any child is their physical well-being.” I wrote that sentence in a blog post we published last year, highlighting the impactful work neighborhood bridges is doing in suburban areas. However, as I sat down to write this blog, I realized that statement is true beyond childhood. One of the most fundamental needs for any person is their physical well-being; that’s why Status Solutions is a proud sponsor of neighborhood bridges and Pelotonia.

neighborhood bridges

Purposefully lowercase (because it’s not about them), neighborhood bridges addresses the impact that lacking basic necessities can have on a child’s ability to learn and thrive. By providing essential items to children in need and directly connecting community members with local students and families, they address the struggles that educators everywhere see daily in the classroom. Through a network of schools, teachers, social workers, and everyday citizens neighborhood bridges ensures that no child goes without clothing, school supplies, extracurricular fees, eyeglasses, or any other necessities. This grassroots effort aimed at suburban areas, where poverty is on the rise, not only meets immediate needs but also fosters a spirit of kindness and community support.

Status Solutions has been a steadfast supporter from the beginning and, as the national sponsor, has contributed resources and leadership that enabled the organization to expand its reach to a 100,000-square-mile service area, including four states and 53 communities. Our Founder, Mike MacLeod, received the neighborhood bridges’ Founder’s Award in 2024 for exemplifying nb’s mission of helping to engage communities in removing barriers to learning. Our commitment to this cause is driven by the belief that every child deserves a fair chance to succeed. By supporting neighborhood bridges, we are helping to build stronger, more compassionate communities where children can focus on their education and personal growth without the worry of unmet basic needs.

Pelotonia

Similarly, our support for Pelotonia aligns with our dedication to enhancing physical well-being. Pelotonia is a remarkable organization that raises funds for cancer research through a community-driven cycling event. Since its inception in 2008, Pelotonia has inspired thousands of riders and volunteers to join the fight against cancer. Every dollar raised by Pelotonia participants goes directly to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, fueling groundbreaking research and treatments.

Status Solutions’ support for Pelotonia is again rooted in our commitment to the health and well-being of individuals. Cancer affects everyone, and the fight against it requires a collective effort. By backing Pelotonia, we contribute to life-saving research that has the potential to benefit countless lives. Our involvement is a testament to our belief in the power of community and the importance of supporting causes that strive for a healthier, cancer-free world.

On a personal note, this cause has a special place in my heart, as my father has been battling stage 4 cancer since 2016. Under his amazing care team at The James, he has continued to defy the odds.
